padi basic freediver
take your apnea skills to the water
The PADI Basic Freediver course is an excellent starting point for developing solid freediving skills. In this course you will learn freediving principles through independent study with the PADI Freediver eLearning and 2 confined water (pool) sessions.
This course is a subset of the PADI Freediver course: the theory and confined water portions for both courses are the same but the Basic Freediver course has no open water sessions. But don’t worry; the skills you will learn in this course will give you a strong foundation in freediving and the ability to get a much closer look at that reef during your next tropical escape.
Confined water diving sessions are conducted at the George Harvey Collegiate Institute and Etobicoke Olympium.
To enrol in a PADI Basic Freediver course you must be 12 years of age or older. You require adequate swimming skills and need to be in good physical health. No prior experience with snorkelling, skin diving or freediving is required.
